Our Mission

Fighting cancer with hope, one child at a time.

KIDS CANCER CAST is a nonprofit organization that provides support and resources for children battling cancer, offering them hope and connection through community programs and events. We believe that no child should face cancer alone, and every family deserves compassionate support during their most challenging moments.

Our comprehensive approach combines emotional support, practical resources, and community connection to create a network of hope that extends far beyond medical treatment. We understand that healing involves not just the body, but the spirit and heart as well.

What We Do

Family Support

We provide comprehensive emotional and practical support to families navigating childhood cancer diagnoses. Our trained volunteers offer companionship, assistance with daily tasks, and a listening ear during difficult times. From hospital visits to help with household needs, we're here every step of the journey.

Community Programs

Our engaging community programs bring children together through fun activities, educational workshops, and social events. These programs help children maintain friendships, develop new skills, and experience joy despite their medical challenges. We create safe spaces where kids can just be kids.

Special Events

Throughout the year, we organize memorable events designed to bring smiles to children's faces and create lasting positive memories. From holiday celebrations to summer camps, each event is carefully planned to accommodate various health needs while maximizing fun and connection.

How We Help

01

Initial Contact

Families reach out to us through referrals from medical professionals, social workers, or direct contact. We immediately begin building a relationship based on trust, understanding, and respect for each family's unique situation and needs.

02

Assessment & Planning

Our team conducts a comprehensive assessment to understand the child's medical situation, family dynamics, and specific support needs. We develop a personalized support plan that addresses both immediate and long-term requirements.

03

Program Enrollment

Children and families are connected with appropriate programs and services. This includes pairing with volunteer mentors, enrollment in age-appropriate activities, and access to our resource library and support networks.

04

Ongoing Support

We provide continuous support throughout the cancer journey and beyond. Our commitment doesn't end with treatment completion – we continue supporting families through recovery, celebrating milestones, and maintaining meaningful connections.

Stories of Hope

"KIDS CANCER CAST became our second family during Emma's treatment. The volunteers who visited us in the hospital brought such joy during our darkest moments. Emma still talks about the art projects and games they shared with her. Their support didn't end when treatment did – they celebrated with us at her five-year survivor party."

- Sarah M., Mother of Emma (age 10, leukemia survivor)

Stories like Emma's remind us why our work matters. Every child deserves to experience joy, connection, and hope during their cancer journey. These moments of light help families find strength they didn't know they possessed.

We're honored to be part of so many recovery stories, celebrations, and milestone moments. While the journey through childhood cancer is never easy, we ensure no family walks it alone.
